About Victory Family Church

What We Believe

At VFC, our desire is to follow Christ without compromise. In a world where truth has become relative, we look to plant ourselves on the firm and secure foundation of the full Gospel of Jesus Christ.

VFC is not associated with any denomination.

As we've all experienced through our years growing up, VFC has also gone through phases since its inception in 2002. While our intentions have always been for good, our focus hasn't always where it should be.

Our roots began in the Word of Faith/Prosperity Gospel. We were one of the fastest growing churches in Canada and constantly looking for ways to expand and grow even further.

While our desire has always been to see more people come to Christ, our focus was primarily on how successful we could feel and how big our church could become.

The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.

Psalms 103:8

As patient as our God has been with you and me, he's been just as patient with His church. Through the years of shallow ideas and blurred focus, He has lovingly guided us back to the simple Gospel. The life changing message that does not need to be remixed by man. That we are saved by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ. That He died on the cross for all who will call on him for the forgiveness of their sinful ways.

Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

John 17:3

We desire to know God, not just to know about him. We desire to know and understand His word so we can shine even brighter in a dark and lost world.

you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free

John 8:32

VFC was established to bring glory to God, not for our own attention or success. At VFC, we firmly believe that God's Word is the ultimate authority for Christians to follow

Attendance, YouTube views, Likes, Follows, etc. is not to be the focus of this church, nor are they indicators that a ministry is walking out God's desired path. Rather, our focus has been on 'seeing beyond today'. Having an eternal perspective over every area of life. Unpacking the truth found in His word without compromise as we pursue Him humbly, while never leaving room for sin.

In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.

2 Timothy 4:1‭-‬2

Our goal in leading VFC is not to appease man. Our goal remains firm and steadfast on preaching the Gospel, regardless if it's unpopular or maybe even offensive in the current culture we live in. The church is not meant to bend and shift to the desires of the world, but rather it is to be a place where truth dwells, no matter how bitter truth may taste at times. In light of eternity, we cannot afford to compromise.

Jesus had many zealous followers after he fed thousands. That is, until they learned His perspective, goals and focus was different from their own.

If we take our eyes off of Him and aim to do things our own way with His church, it will fail. So we will continue, along with the amazing teams of leadership we have, to serve God in leading His church as we follow Him diligently.

I rejoice in following your statutes
as one rejoices in great riches.
I meditate on your precepts
and consider your ways.
I delight in your decrees;
I will not neglect your word.

— Psalm 119:14-16
